What is the Emotional Freedom Technique?

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), or EFT Tapping, is a stress-reduction tool combining psychology with the body’s acupressure points. By bringing to mind what is emotionally distressing while gently pressing on acupressure points along the face and body, a calming signal is sent to the brain notifying the mind-body system it is safe.

Supported by peer-reviewed research, EFT Tapping gently and effectively reduces the effects of stress, PTSD, chronic pain, and emotional distress while bolstering mental clarity, emotional balance, and physical health.

EFT Tapping is commonly combined with psychotherapy and counseling modalities such as Cognitive Therapy, Exposure Therapy, transformational coaching approaches, mindfulness practices, and used with holistic health protocols.

Christine Slomski trained in the Emotional Freedom Technique in 2006. Christine studied under the lineage of Gary Craig, founder of Emotional Freedom Technique and the worldwide leader who brought Tapping to the psychology & mental health field in the 1990s and 2000s.
